The Need-To-Know

  • The electrical trade preparation course and test price is R12500 in Pretoria and R14500 in Cape Town.
  • Gap training requirements and extra costs will be communicated after the pre-assessment is conducted.
  • The ARPL test and preparation training for electricians requires ten to fifteen workdays, depending on the candidate's knowledge and work experience.
  • Your final test is conducted over two workdays.
  • You must pass all required modules to qualify.
  • You receive two further attempts to pass failed modules.
  • New classes start every week.

Electrical Red Seal Examination

Electrical candidates must complete these tasks successfully during the Red Seal trade test:

Single-phase, three-phase and electronics are covered

These three main sectors are all included in the electrical trade test, training, and gap training as may be required. You will be trained to apply this knowledge to construction, new installations, motors, sequences, starters, testing, fault finding, etc.

During the preparation time, we will do the following:

Assesses your skills, techniques, and knowledge of specific electrical installations

Facilitate the ARPL test

Ensure you are ready for your exam by ironing out any installation uncertainty and skill gaps in our fully-equipped workshop

Based on the National Artisan Moderation Body (NAMB) practical examination modules, enable you to perform step-by-step installations according to national safety standards and plumbing regulations

Sequence starters (automatic, semi-automatic, and manual)
